Herein lies the Disclaimer. I don't own any of the characters portrayed in this story, I just borrowed them for a little while. Their respective owners can have them back when I'm done. No money is going to be made off of this anyway. I read something that had the premise of Tenchi getting Ryoko's powers a looooong time ago, and I have no idea who wrote it, when it was, where it was, or what it was called. I do remember that it wasn't very good, and thought I could come up with something much better with Tenchi getting Ryoko's powers. Here it is. This is the first fic I wrote, having watched TM before Ranma. It probably sucks, but I actually haven't reread it yet to know. I'll have to get around to doing that sometime. Maybe after if finish Nodoka's Curse....
Washu looked out over her lab, wondering when Tenchi was going to come back after that last scare he had. She had almost gotten him to agree to let her get a sample when there had been a small explosion some distance away. Washu knew who it was already, having chronologed the many instances Mihoshi had somehow stumbled into her lab and managed to destroy something before any of her alarm systems managed to notify her of the bubblehead invasion. But this time she had blown up one of her generators that helped power the lab, which was off in a far corner and needed to de tended to before anything else was destroyed.
Thats when she returned her attention to her test subject.
Tenchi was still smoking from the reverse power surge that had coursed through him. Washu's eye's widened in horror as she realized that possobility had never occured to her. She brought her hands up and started typing furiously, hoping to be able to correct the problem and Tenchi before he woke up and realizes how much that is going to hurt.
A few minutes later she had stabalized all the damage Mihoshi had done and was bringing the equipment online to fix Tenchi when his eyes fluttered open and blinked a few times.
A few seconds later he realized he couldn't move or feel most of his body. But his head still worked. Barely.
Tenchi looked over at where Washu was working fiercly, and he wondered for a moment if he should interupt her to ask about his body.
He was still pondering the pros and cons when he noticed something on her screen that made him stop and think for a minute.
It looked like an outline of himself, showing various readings and whatnot. Except a large portion of his body was red and other forms of danger colors. This made Tenchi stop and think a bit about maybe why he couldn't feel his body anymore.
Then he suddenly remembered right before he had blacked out. The incredible pain that had coursed through him, the feeling of dread, the realization that something had gone horribly wrong. At that moment Washu started adjusting something and a sharp pain ripped through his brain.
Tenchi gasped right before he passed out again.
Washu looked up, she thought she had heard a gasp. And she knew Mihoshi wasn't in the lab anymore, a mecha-Tenchi was keeping an eye on her. Which meant Tenchi had woken up. She cringed as she realized how much pain he must have suffered through just then and she shed a silent tear as she apologized to the air again for what she had done.
He was uncontious right then, but Washu knew, even if she did everything in her power to make him forget what had happened so he would never figure out what she had had to do, he would eventually remember something and be able to figure it out.
And if, at the time, he was with her daughter Ryoko, she would have to start fearing for her own life. She sighed, the seriousness of the situation not allowing her to even get mad at Mihoshi in the first place.
She was going to have to tell him eventually, but it would be a couple of years at least before the changes would start to affect him. She could only hope she could tell him before he changed.
Tenchi grogily awoke. He couldn't remember anything. "Who am I? Why can't I remember anything?"
He sat up and looked around the room. He saw a cyan haired woman poking her head through the wall, ignoring the laws of physics and floating over to him. For some reason this didn't seem all that abnormal to him. It occured to him maybe she knows who he is. He guessed he knew her, given he wasn't scared of her doing the impossible. He hoped.
"Tenchi, you're finally awake! I was worried about you, you didn't look like yourself when you went to bed last night." Ryoko then realized he wasn't responding the way he normally does. Something was not right.
She teleported behind him and wrapped her arms around him. ''Is something wrong Tenchi?" Tenchi only looked over his shoulder at her, his eyes searching her surprised ones. "My name's Tenchi?"
Ryoko froze in startlement. He turned to face her, putting his hands on her shoulders. "Are you my girlfriend? I can't think of any other reason why you'd be in my room in the morning. Hey, that's right, this is my room. I can remember that."
His eyes filled with concentration, then concern. "But I still can't remember who you are! Whats wrong with me?"
Ryoko was sorely tempted, but she knew if she lied to him and said she was his girlfriend, if-no, when- he got his memory back he would have a hard time forgiving her. And she couldn't risk winning him in the long run for this short bit of happiness. All she could do was hope that Nagi wouldn't be back for her anytime soon.
"My name's Ryoko. Ring any bells?"
"It sounds familiar, but I can't remember anything about. Oh wait, uuuuhm...." Tenchi held his head in his hands, his eyes closed in concentration, trying to force the memory to surface. "I remember, uhh, I remember I really like you, or at least thats the feeing I get whenever I look at you." Tenchi smiled at her, then, much to her surprise, he reached out and hugged her tightly. Ryoko melted, wrapping her arms around him and fiercly hugging him back.
Tenchi blushed and loosened his grip slightly. "Uhm, hope you didn't get offended or anything. It just seemed that that happed a lot." He released her and started twidling his fingers, waiting for her reaction.
Ryoko started to worry, this wasn't a normall thing for him to forget everybody so completely. Any strange but normal morning amnesia should have worn off by now.
Ryoko smiled sweetly at him, not wanting him to get suspicious. "Why don't you stay here for a moment and I'll go get something that might jog your memory."
"Uh, okay, that would probably help."
Ryoko teleported out of the room, intent on taking the first person she saw, followed by Washu to try and figure out what had happened to him.
A door slid open, and Ryoko teleported over.
Ayeka had just opened the door to her room when Ryoko suddenly appeared in front of her. Bristling, Ayeka said "And what do you want?"
She cut her words off at the look in Ryoko's eyes. (Oh no) Ayeka thought. (Did something happen to Tenchi?)
"Something happened to Tenchi." She said without premeable. "I don't know what caused it, but he couldn't seem to remember anything. He didn't know who I was."
Ayeka could see the hurt and worry in her rivals eyes. It made her wonder for a brief moment, maybe she really does have feelings for him. She didn't think Ryoko was that good of an actor. Then another thought struck her. (If Tenchi didn't know who Ryoko was, would he have forgotten her too?) Then one final thought popped up. (What, or who, had done this to Tenchi?) Ryoko had obviously been reading her facial expressions change, and by the time she got down to rage mixed with horror, Ryoko figured that had been enough thinking for now.
Ryoko reached out and grabbed Ayeka's arm, her surroundings bluring, then focusing into Tenchi's room.
Tenchi was sitting at his desk, staring at a picture of all of them together. He was concentrating pretty hard and didn't hear Ryoko phase in behind him. Both girls looked over his shoulder, wanting to know who he was trying to remember.
His finger was tracing the outline of Sasami's face. The two girls behind him scowled slightly, then brightend as he shook his head and sighed, his middle finger joining his pointer, gently pressing them against Ryoko and Ayeka's faces. They slid down to uncover their faces and press a eittle harder. Neither girl missed where he was pressing his fingers.
''Why can't I remember anybody?" Tenchi said, not knowing Ryoko had returned like she said. "Especially you two. All I can remember are- emotions. When I look at the two of you, it feels like I'm in love, only I have no idea who you are. I can't handle that. It just feels too strange for me to feel so strongly about people I don't know. I wish I could remember everybody! Arrgggh!"
His finger continued to trace outlines of peoples faces for a few more moments before he stopped and went riged over his fathers face.
Ryoko, forgetting her plan of listening in on him teleported to his side, searching his face for a clue as to what might have caused him to react so.
Ayeka arrived a few seconds later, looking into his face, searching for something, anything.
A second later Ryoko stood suddenly. "I'm going to go get Washu. She might have something to do with this." Without waiting for a responce she dissappeared again.
"Impulsive woman." Ayeka mumbled.
She reached out and gently touched his arm, hoping he would relax. And he did. She smiled at him, then looked crestfallen when his eyes registered confusion. But there was something else there too. Affection. Ayeka realized how true his statement a few moments ago was.
"Uhh," Tenchi mumbled, obviously distressed. "I remembered! But how come nobody else?I feel bad for having to ask, but what's your name?"
"Ayeka."
Tenchi shook his head in distress, his eyes searching hers, hoping for a clue. She hadn't realized how much love and worry was showing until he reached out and gently hugged her. "It's all rght, I'll remember, I know I will, just stop looking so sad. I care about you, I just can't remember why yet. I care about both of you, a lot."
At that he looked kinda sheepish and released her, staring at his hands. "Uh, sorry if I offended you or anything, but you and, uh, Ryoko, that was it, had such a sad and horrified look in your eyes I had to do something."
Ayeka smiled at him, her spirits lifting greatly, even though he couldn't remember anything specific. "What happened to you a moment ago? I was rather worried."
Tenchi smiled. "I just remembered my dad, Ayeka. My entire life with him relived in ten seconds. Very strange expirience. Especially with all these strange gaps in there, where I assume you and everybody else I know is supposed to be."
Ayeka nodded, wondering why he could only remember him. She sighed, for once wishing Ryoko would return quickly.
Tenchi returned to gazing at the photo, wondering if the same thing would happen for everybody there. He hoped not, it was a disturbing expirience. Course, so was not remembering his dad in the first place.
With an odd shifting noise Ryoko was back in the room, with another familiar but strange red haired girl appearing next to her.
Everyone looked at Tenchi to see his reaction, still one of confusion. So it was that Tenchi was the only one who saw the newcomers eyes grew wide for the briefest of moments in shock and horror before returning to normal.
Then Tenchi went rigid again, his eyes with a faraway look in them. His lips mouthed a word "Mom..." Everybody managed to read his lips and waited eargerly while he recovered, wondering what was next.
Tears slowly trickled down his cheeks as he relived the memories of her life and death. Tenchi slumped forward and burried his face in his hands, his shoulders shuddering as he silently sobbed.
Ryoko and Ayeka both stepped foward, gently touching his shoulder to see if he was okay. Taking a few deep breaths allowed him to get back under control.
Tenchi looked up at his two main antagonist with moist eyes. "Oh, Mom..." he murmered, pain in his eyes.
Straightening he looked at Washu. "Do you know anything about what's happening here, miss? You looked like you might, earlier." Tenchi had a very hopefull expression on his face.
Washu felt a deep regret for what she had done to Tenchi, both before and after her disastrous expirament. But she couldn't deal with what would happen if she told everybody what had really happened to him. He had died for several minutes before she had managed to reconstruct enough of his body to live at all. But saying what she had reconstructed his body out of would probably get just about everybody there after her some way or another. She knew how much those girls cared for him, she was one of them. She could only hope that he would still care for her once she told him the truth.
Letting everybody know what had occured would only complete the distrust that was already brewing about her. So she told a little lie. And really, really hoped that it wouldn't turn out worse than if she had let the truth out.
"Not yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out." Washu said with what she hoped was an honest expression on her face. She forced a laugh. "I am the greatest scientific geinius in the universe you know." It lacked her usual flare, but nobody noticed.
Tenchi stiffened again. The name that came from his lips shocked everyone. "Ryoko..." he breathed. Everybody turned to look at the space pirate, wondering how this could be. She just smiled and said. "He finally remembered me."
Aeka stiffened in shock, remembering her conversation in the onsen with Ryoko and realized that she had been telling the truth, for it was indeed the third person the Tenchi had recalled, and that was obviously the only way that he could have met her, for everybody knew that she had been seeled up in that cave until just before the princesses arrival. No matter how much Aeka distruced the pirate she knew that she couldn't have lied about that, Aeka knew excatle when that cave was opened up and it had only been a day before the Jurain representative had gotten there.
Tenchi just started to loosen up as his hand shot out and grabbed Ryoko, pulling her toward him. She smiled at him and sat in his lap. Even she was a bit startled when he put his arms around her and hugged her close, tucking the pirates head under his chin, resting his head on her mane of cyan hair. Aeka was still in shock as she replayed her conversation over and over in her mind, thinking of all the wonderful memories that the two shared, and how little her chances of winning him were. It depressed her to no end, but she perked up when she realized that he had yet to get to her memories, and hopefully they would offset her rivals enough to help her win, or at the least catch back up in his affection. Although she somewhat doubted that he would pull her into his lap. Wait a minute, he pulled her into his lap?!? That just wasn't right.
Aeka was about to reach out and yank the pirate from her Tenchi's grasp when Mihoshi's hand rested on her shoulder. Startled, she looked over at the blonde woman. "Just wait a minute, he's still remembering stuff. That happens to me sometimes and it's not fun."
Aeka blinked a couple of times at the ditzy police woman before she realized that it wouldn't be right to pull his memory from his grasp, even if she was jealous. Forcing her feelings down for the moment, she waited patiently as she could while looking into his eyes for him to return the the present and realize what he was doing.
His eyes unclouded and he looked down at the alien he was cuddling, but didn't seem to make any move or hint that he would move her. He tilted her face up and looked into her yellow eyes, smiling. "And here I thought you were a princess that needed to be rescued." He gave a soft chuckle at that, then hugged her tightly again. "I thought I would never get to see you again after my mother died. That was the second worse thing that I can remember happening to me, losing both my mother and best friend at the same time."
Tears were in his eyes again as he looked at Ryoko. Her eyes were misty too. "I know, I wanted to comfort you so badly, but you couldn't see me anymore, and you never were able to touch me. It made me so sad." At that point she did break down and the two of them drew strength from each other.
Aeka, for some reason, just couldn't bring herself to pull her rival out of his embrace, it was such a heartfelt reuinion for the both of them. She sighed and could only hope that he still had some feelings for her after all this was over. She *really* didn't want to have to go back to Jurai, not after having spent so much time on Earth and seeing how wonderful most of it was.
Suddenly he looked over at Aeka and Sasami. "Well, looks like you two are the only ones left. Guess I'll be filling those last gaps here in a minute." He heaved a huge sigh, his right hand, the one not holding the cyan haired woman close to hime, rubbed his temple. "I am getting such a headache from this I might have to have one of you knock me out so I can sleep it off." He offered a weak chuckle at his attempt at humor.
Surprisingly it was what most of them were expecting and, although nobody laughed, there were smiles all around as they realized that Tenchi was probably going to be all right and none the worse for wear, as seemed to be the case with all of their adventures. But that was beside the point.
Tenchi suddenly blinked, but it wasn't because of returning memories. Leaning forward he wispered something in Ryoko's ear and she blushed. Aeka almost blew her top at seeing that, but calmed somewhat when Ryoko phased from his lap and appeared next to him. He smiled his thanks at her while he started to rub his legs. Tenchi looked at everybody as they stared at the two of them. Tenchi smiled sheepishly and explained.
"My leg was falling asleep, she was sitting right on a major vain." Ryoko blushed again, hating being embarassed by her mistake. Aeka took a look of rightous fury and was about to berate the space pirate when Tenchi aquired the glazed over look everybody had come to associate with returning memory.
This seemed to take much longer than his other ones. Tenchi seemed to change a little, though nobody could figure out what it might be that seemed different about him.
Then he fainted, twiching on the floor every once in a while. Everybody blinked and rushed forward to help him. Everybody blinked again when they realized that Washu had beaten tll of them to his side. She smiled at them sweetly before wrapping her arms around him.
"I better take him down to the lab and make sure it's the good memories that he's relivinq." Before anyone could respond the two of them teleported out of the room.
Ryoko and Ayeka looked at each other for a moment before they both turned and scurried to Washu's lab entrance. They reached the door and twisted the handle, intending to break down the door if she had tried to lock it. It thus came as some of a surprise when they both smacked face first into it. The two women staggered around for a moment before they collected themselves and dashed the door again. With the same results.
Washu looked up from her computer as she scanned Tenchi and shook her head. They should know by now that they can't get in here if I don't want them to get in here. Well, with the exception of Mihoshi, Wahsu corrected herself. No matter how much it galled her she always had to be correct in her statements. Even if they weren't true, it was what was believed at the time. At one time she had thought that she was perfect. Considereing that the two loves of her life had left her, taking her chilred with her both times, she wasn't sure if she could possibly ever go back into her adult body again. Twenty thousand years didn't seem long enough to cover the holes in her heart.
She sighed as she looked over Tenchi's obviously stressed, yet sleeping form. He was reliving his entire life pretty much as it happened, and he was expending a LOT of energy to do it. She had realized that she was going to have to sustain him while he recovered in order to keep him in top health. The only good thing about all this was he was going to be a whole lot tougher once this was all over with. With all of the things she had had to splice together in order to get him back in one piece she was amazed she had managed to get it back as close to the original as she had. The only trouble, it now seemed that he might be developing new talents from that grafting she had done.
Washu supposed she should have seen something like this coming, but that boy was amazing her over and over again with his abilities and with his genes. Something about them just seemed to never give up no matter what was happening. That irked her to no end, but she could slowly feel herself opening up to him again. Nobody had done that for over five thoughsand years, but he had somehow wormed his way into what was left of her heart.
That, she supposed, was one of the reason that worked so hard on him. She couldn't stand to lose anybody else that she cared for. If she could do something about it than she would. But there was something else too. He was one of the very few people she had ever met that, so long as she didn't strap him down to anything too painfull looking actually enjoyed her company. It was his main passagway into her heart, and the one thing that she couldn't think of how to block. General friendliness was something that she couldn't turn down. It had gotten her trouble in the past, but it looked like Tenchi might actually ahve a heart big enough for all of them. She just really hoped that none of them would rip that heart out fi something went wrong or they somehow got fed up with something. Washu could tell that Tenchi cared for all of them. Admitidly he didn't really seem to be thinking about any of them in a marital aspect yet, but that was sure to follow.
He obviously had a deep friendship with just about every girl there, even though Ryoko and Ayeka seemed to stress that friendship a bit when they had destroyed his house. Those two women owed Washu a lot of favors for the amount of times she had to fix things and repair the entire house. Not that she minded, Washu had to admit to herself. When Tenchi hugged her after she did something like that it seemed to make everything worthwhile. Especially since it only took her a few seconds to pop out a new copy of their house. Those earthlings had such primitive building structures. But they did seem to do their job well enough, and she had to admit they were aesthetically pleasing.
But back to Tenchi. She made a few minute adjustments in his feedings as his dreams seemed to be getting up to his more active years later in his life when he trained with his grandfather and cleaned the shrine every day. Along with many other strange and not so strange things that Yosho seemed to find for his grandson to do. But that was in the past. Things had changed. Yosho had much more respect for him, even though he couldn't conjure up the Wings of the Lighthawk whenever he wanted, he obviously had a lot more power than just about noble before him. Someday, Washu knew, he would be able to call them forth whenever he wanted. She hoped to be there that day. The look on his face would probably be priceless. She could just imagine the scene......
A low moan snapped Washu out of her daydreaming. Something she had been doing more and more of lately. Maybe it was time she retired her little girl body for a little while. It seemed to be getting distracted more than her adult body did. Although with her treating Tenchi like this she wasn't sure which would be worse.
Tenchi groaned again, his eyes moving rapidly under his eyelids. Washu realized that this must have been one of the batles that he had gotten into recently. There was very little that could get him going like his friends in danger, as most villians had found out the hard way. She really wished she had time to set up some sort of dream reader while he was in that state. It would be very interesting to get some readings from him while he relived everything like it was happeneing.
That thought gave Washu pause. Would he remember how he came to be in the position that he was in? Would he remeber looking at everybody with amnesia and gaining his memories bit by bit or would he just wake up and wonder how he had gotten to a different table than the one that he had passed out on. Only time would tell. Washu sighed. She hated not knowing the answers. Only trouble was, she was afraid what this answer might mean. She didn't want to be rejected again. She really didn't want to be left all alone again. It was not fun, and something that she could really do without. In fact, she would do everything in her power to avoid it it scared her so much.
Tenchi awoke without fanfare or theatrics. He knew what happened to him. He knew how bad Washu felt about him, and what she had done. He also knew that there was something different about him. He didn't know what yet, but he was sure they would show up quickly.
Tenchi had already forgiven her for what had happend. He knew it hadn't been her fault, and he had seen some of how hard she had worked to rectify the problem. When he had been reliving his memories he had been able to realize things that he had never seen before. He had seen some of th elooks that the girls had been giving him, all of them and not just Ryoko and Ayeka like he had thought. When he had been doing his sword training again, he realized some of the things that his grandfather had been trying to teach him that he had never gotten. He knew he was going to give the old man a run for his money now that he had some extra knowledge. Until the old man stepped it up again and tought him even harder techniques.
The thing that puzzled Tenchi the most though, was why he was seeing all this new stuff. Sure it was the second time through for him, but he hadn't really known what was going to happen before he relived it, he just knew that this wasn't really happening, it was just a replay in order to get him up to date with where his mind should be anyway. The other thing was his head felt a little different. He coulnd't explain it in simple terms, it just seemed like he had another way of doing or observing things that he didn't have before the accident. He would have to ask Washu about them if he couldn't figure them out fairly quickly.
He didn't want to worry Washu about him remembering things or not. Sure, he knew what had happened, but he still liked her all the same. He was just sure that he wouldn't be subjected to so many expiraments anymore. That was a pleasant thought. He had never really liked laying there while she looked him over with that 'interesting specimen' look on her face. Course, if there was something really special about that feeling in his head that might just be wishful thinking and back under the probe he would go.
Tenchi banished those thoughts from his mind. He had to concentrate on getting his strength back. His body had felt rather weak when he had first woke up, and it didn't seem to be getting better very fast. Deciding that going back to sleep would probably be the best thing for him to do, Tenchi let himself relax until he faded away.
Washu hadn't even noticed him waking, but she did notice when he went back to sleep. She gasped in surpise as she saw him settle himself in the bed again, the monitors pinging that he was entering a restful period. Washu grimaced at that. She was going to have to correct the phraseology of those things sometime soon. Wondering what he had been thinking about she walked over to him and gently kissed his forhead, wanting to do more but not trusting herself at the time.
A smile played across his lips as she pulled back, giving Washu pause. Had he known what had just happened? Or was he just putting it into a dream he had that made sense to him at the time. Washu sighed. Unless she asked him she would probably never know, but that was one thing that she could live with. Not knowing what he was dreaming was something she could live with. Having him dislike her because she had to completely rebuild his body from something that had happened to him while in her lab she didn't want. Wouldn't let happen. She would not be left alone again.
Washu Hakubi continued to sit at her terminal, gazing at the young man who had captured the hearts of at least four women and one girl. Wondering what he was dreaming.
It was a good thing Sunday was the next day. Tenchi awoke for the second time with that extra sensory feeling. He lay there for a while, trying to figure out what that feeling was.
It irked him to no end that nothing was wrong with him but he felt different. Maybe he would have to talk to Washu after all.
Tenchi finally opened his eyes and looked around the room. Then blinked in surprise when he realized that he understood what all the readings and guages floating around meant.
That wasn't right. Even his teachers wouldn't understand the stuff that he had floating around in his head now. Washu hab been busy when she had rebuilt him it seemed.
The next thing he realized was he didn't feel tired anymore. With Washu's name for her invention provided for him by his newfound knowledge. Tenchi sat up and swung his legs over the side of his bed.
He could now see Washu curled up on her floating cushion, her head pillowed on her astral keboard sleeping quietly. Tenchi smiled tenderly at her. He knew a little of her past and he knew how much it took her to open up to anybody.
Tenchi looked through his newfound knowledge, surprising himself with some of the things Washu kept on her five planets. Tenchi shook his head at that. How could she *not* have something given she had five planets to store it on?
Tenchi gently lifted her into his arms, cradling her small body. He managed to free an arm long enough to quickly tap out a few commands. The lab shifted slightly, most of the instruments shifting into storage or hidden from view. A small bedroom faded into view, the bed an almost immpossibly comfortable affair that was obviously designed to fit both her bodies.
A door to the side of the bed floated in the míddle of air, leading off to all the clothes Washu had managed to collect or create. At the foot of the bed a dresser, large mirror at the back, with the reguired femanine products dotted across the top of it. Tenchi had never seen them before, but he could guess their purpose.
Washu murmured in her sleep, snuggling closer against him. Tenchi blushed as her arms snaked around his neck, holding him tightly. "Washu-chan, I like you too, but I really should get dressed and go tell everybody I'm alright."
Washu ignored him and tightened her grip. Tenchi sank down onto the bed, hugging the small red head tightly. "I love you Washu. But I can't just give you my heart. What about Ryoko and Ayeka? What about Mihoshi and Kiyone? They would be so crushed if they didn't get to spend some time alone with me, for i love them too. You see my problem, my dear Washu-chan? I want to call all of you girls my love, but I don't know if I could could stay alive long enough to see it all through. I want to let Ryoko show me around the galaxy. Join Mihoshi and Kiyone on the force, helping them get some of the worst bad guys before encouraging them to settle down and start a family. You see my problem Washu-chan? I want to keep all of you in my life and close to my heart. But is that even possible? Could I help them to cross over to the loving side of their love\hate relationship? Now with all this knowledge floating around in my head I want to join you in your lab and help you with everything that you do here. But do you need or even want help? Am I doomed to see you only when you come out to eat, or can I somehow get closer to you, somehow get you to open up to me like you haven't done in 10,000 years?"
Tenchi stopped his introspection to cuddle with the ancient woman-child, feeling drowsy again. Guess he ladn't quite healed completely yet. Another nap and he should be ready to go. Tenchi lay back on Washu's bed, letting the scientist's head slip down until she was using his chest for a pillow. The two cuddled together, content with the warmth the other had to offer until both were wisked away on a dream.
Washu slowly blinked her eyes open, wondering why her bed felt less comfortable but more comforting. She curled up in her half-sleep state, her arms tightened around her strangely warm pillow. That was when she noticed it was steadily rising and falling, something her bed was not supposed to do.
Washu sat up apuptly, her mind working furiousely to detirmine who or what had joined her, and how they knew how to access her room. She saw a young man sleeping next to her.
Washu reached over and yanked his head around to see if somebody she really didn't like had managed to get by her defenses.
She leaned over him, getting close enough to his face to tell if he had some sort of disguise active. Brown eyes blinked back at her in surprise. Instantly recognizing those dark orbs Washu blinked in equal surpise as her brain processed what had just happgned. She had woken up next to Tenchi, in bed, but she was in her younger form! No! She needed that sample!
"Ohiyo, Washu-chan." Washu blinked back to the present. She looked down at Tenchi, saw his bare chest with her hand leaning on it, his own hand still on her waist and blushed, giggling like a schoolgirl.
"Ohiyo, Tenchi." She quikly got over him being in her room and started back on her main interest. "Are you hjere to help me with some expiraments?" Washu had her chesire cat grin going full force. Now that she had him in her room there was nowhere for him to go.
(That's all right now.)
