few things to survive

Allies are
useful pawns
hard to gain
easy to lose

Ambition is needed 
simply to stay alive
but too much 
can get you killed

Brawn is always good
but not always
the answer. . .

Brains, guile, agility,
these are all you 
need to survive,     
although the others
are needed.

Occasionally.

But a lover?
That is your choice,
