| Ryoga Hibiki: Perhaps the character I have changed opinions upon the most. Reasons for this are many and varied, but to be honest I think it is probably safe to say that my opinions about him change at the same time as my opinions of myself. I see so much of myself in the Lost Boy that it scares me at times. At times I hate him and at times I love him. Mostly though I struggle to accept him like I struggle to accept myself. You'll notice that a majority of my stories on this page are told with him as a main character. Ryoga Hibiki is everything I am, am not, could be, or never shall. | Ukyo Kuonji: Like her frequent co-star Ukyo has had her ups and her downs in my opinion. For the longest time I was an Ukyo fanboy and I'll admit it. I liked her. And then for a while things changed. I couldn't see her as a person. Then slowly she earned her way back into my heart little by little. I'm not an enormous fan anymore, but I like her. Not as a viable character as she is but rather as a person in the beginnings of growing into some who can do wonderful things. Ranma Saotome: I used to dislike him as character, but that was before I really started to think of his situation. Sure he's an arrogant, insensitive jerk, but give him some credit here! Look how he was raised. Considering all the crap he had to put up with it's amazing how well he really turned out. Rumiko Takahashi created whether she knew it or not a character in a situation that he just couldn't win. She gave him honor he'd die to uphold, feelings strong enough to kill a god, and problems that would try a saint. Sure she meant this to match him up with someone who I personally hate but more on that later. |

Kiima: What can I say. I'm officially a Kiima fanboy! She's just tooooo cool! Seriously though she is pretty awesome. First off she's older than a lot of the other girls in the series (though how much isn't mentioned) and she also has a strong sense of responsibility. When you think about it everything she does is for the benefit of her people. She also doesn't seem to do anything that benefits her directly at all. And just how unusual is that in the Ranma 1/2 universe? Hmmmmm? I like Kiima and if Ranma were just a little bit older or more mature they'd make a really good match. Maybe I'll write one. What do you know I'm writing two of them now. |
| Akane Tendo: I have well and truly debated putting this here, but I will anyway. I don't like Akane. In fact I hate her. Perhaps if I had been exposed to the manga first my opinions would have formed differently. But I wasn't and one cannot undo the past. Pure emotional torture. I hate it and because of it I can never forgive her. Pride is no excuse for neglect. Never have I seen Akane apologize for anything where as we have seen Ranma try. Perhaps I am wrong. But this is how I feel. There are other reasons of course, but I don't really want to devote anymore time to this. Akane brings up too many bad thoughts and I don't like myself when I think about her. | Ryu Soma: He's everything an anti-hero should be. He's good and bad. Purposeful and confused. Angel and devil. He's one of the most human characters I have ever encountered in anime. He's me, my roommate, my neighbor, you. If you have not seen Argento Soma you need to if for no other reason to see him as a character. He is all that man is and will be for ever and ever. Personally the only thing I really hate about the series is who they force him together with at the end, but more on that next panel. If you haven't watched Argento Soma do so soon. Heck if you really want to see it e-mail me and we can set it up so I can send you the series. | Guinevere Green: OMG! I never thought the day would come when I fell for a pink haired girl. But I did, and hard. She's everything I love in a girl. Strong, funny, caring, capable, a good shot (don't ask), determined. If you watch Argento Soma (which you should IMHO) watch for her. Personally I like the combination of Ryu and Guinevere, and think that most people would agree. Hopefully I'll have a fic with that pairing up on this page fairly soon, though with my life recently who knows. Guinevere is my ideal woman and what I've always been drawn to in one. Sadly it seems I lost someone like her to someone else before I even tried and shall regret it for the rest of my life. Gomen Kudasai |
