Welcome to Shimitsu no Shinden (Temple of Shimitsu), I am Shimitsu Kaoru... Wandering Student of the 5 Dragons School of Martial Arts, and son of Shimitsu-Ryuu. Here, your journey must have been long and Hard, come closer to the fire and warm your bones after your long climb.
Ahhh, yes, I should have guessed as much, you have come here for the Ballad's. Yes, I know what you seek, you seek to hear the story of Ranma Saotome, that which was named "Fragile Clay" by the Temple Monks. Yes, it is an interesting tale... one that many can connect with and feel the pains and pleasures that those within the tale experience.
We keep the Scrolls in The Bard's Enclave, along with the multitudes of other stories. I am only allowed access to "Fragile Clay", However, since I am only beginning my training as a Priest of Kami. Perhaps as time Passes, Okaasan(Mother) will allow me to show you my own story??? Well, before I show you around the Temple, you should first sign the Treatise of Wanderers. We do not get many here.
Oh, would you like to know more about me??? Yes, well, as a host I suppose it is only polite to tell you more of myself. Very well then, look deeply into the fire... yes, watch it's flickering flames and it's hunger for life... look deep within The Inner Flame, there shall you hear my voice and there shall you learn more of who I am.
Well then... into the Temple. First, on our right is the Hall of Mirrors, Legend says that those who look into the glass will see the specters of the hero's who's ballad's are stored within this temple. Visions of what they once looked like, and perhaps visions of events.
To your Left is where the Scribes take down Words of the Art, as well as stories that Wanderers bring us. Perhaps of what they have heard, and perhaps of what they thought of the Tales which I tell. There you may give comment to them of what you think the next Scroll might contain, or perhaps what you thought of previous scrolls. If your comments are invigorating, the Scribes may place your scroll within the Archives, thus allowing others to read your comments.
The Second door on your right is the road out of Mount Shimitsu, where the Paths of Fate diverge. There are many, so choose wisely, for a new road may appear at any time.
The 2nd on your left is the sealed door of darkness. Behind it is Twilights's Abode. There is the place where Dhim Ta resides, sealed from the lives of mortal men. If you plan to go there, be sure not to linger too long... Dhim will show you places where I may be found, places of excitement and happiness, but there is no guaranteeing that he will let you leave that place.
The Center Room is The Bard's Enclave, where the Truly Great Tales of Heroism are stored... so, Friendly Traveller, where would you like to go?
