Welcome to my old and ugly Fanfaction Pages.

3rd of September, 2007

-    Two new pieces of fanfiction released

Well, I intended to do this 2 days ago, but shit happened, as it often does.  So It's a month and 2 days since my last update.  Not too bad, made better by the fact that compared to my usual crop, I've written an absolute fuck-load.  2 new fics at a little over 10k words each so far.  Since my last update AO has also had some work, but still needs a couple of scenes before it's ready for here.  Anyway, new fiction....

Ganbatte ne, Oiroke-chan[Naruto] [Crackfic]
  Part One
  Part Two
  Part Three
  Part Four

Well, this one's a crack-fic.  The premise being 'What would have happened if Naruto had an even greater desire to be trained by Jiraiya?  Would he have reacted so poorly to the demand that he stay in his Oiroke no Jutsu form if the reward seemed that much greater?'  Not supposed to be taken seriously.

Waking from the Dream
[Naruto]
  Chapter One
  Chapter Two

This fic came from nowhere, and I wasn't sure what it was going to be until I was halfway through the second chapter.  Kakashi wakes up in bed with the dream of one woman fresh in his mind, but the body of an entirely different woman beside him in bed.  A fic about Anko, Iruka, Kakashi and Naruto.  (listed alphabetically).

Hope they are of enjoyment to someone.

-    New piece of fanfiction 'Adenium Obesum' released/posted.

Holy fucking shit.  Been just under two years since I updated here.   I hadn't realised it was so long.  Okay, Important stuff first, before explanations.

Thanks to certain friends I know, and forums I visit, I was relatively recently tempted to write a fic for the Naruto fandom, which isn't something I'm actually all that into.  This is a twisted story, intended only for those happy to read stories that deal with mature themes.  It is an alternative universe fic, in which Gaara was born a girl.  Other important variations include the complete and utter lack of Ochimaru and the Akatsuki from the universe.  I didn't want to write a story about those guys, there are enough of those out there already.  Instead this story focuses on Gaara, who is even more fucked up than in canon,  and dialogues with Naruto.

Adenium Obesum [Naruto] [Mature]
  Chapter One
  Chapter Two

So that's my actual update for now.  Last year or so I've been struggling with extremely high levels of depression and anxiety, which has meant that for large points of time I've written absolutely nothing, but as of the last several months I've been managing to write again.  Currently underway are a number of original short stories I won't be posting here, but also some other fanfiction projects.

Dreams left unopened 03 has the first scene completed, but I'm not feeling the drive to work more on that right now, instead I'm tempted by Adenium Obesum, and a Ranma/Hellblazer crossover that is theoretically my focus right now.  I was originally planning to post all of it in one go, but now that the fic has already grown to over 20k words, twice my intended length I'm starting to rethink that.  As soon as I get my lovely girlfriend to do some translating for me, and I clear up the first section I'll try post the first two parts.  Its another fic that is at least as twisted as Adenium Obesum, dealing with magic, and with things far nastier.  I fear that my depression is afecting the things I write.

For those of you who have emailed me and not received a reply, I apologise.  During the worst bouts of my depression I have been neglecting friends and emails.  My Hotmail account has been closed 7 times or something since my last update here, so I've lost all mail of any merit.  Please guys, do mail again and I'll try respond.

-    New piece of fanfiction 'Dreams Left Unopened' released/posted.

A bit over a Month and a half ago I happened to hear of a challenge for authors to write a fic using Ranma, Sailor Moon, and a third ingredient of their choice.  I decided that I should probably use the challenge as an excuse to force myself to actually write something before a deadline.  So, as a result, there are now two parts to a new story.

'Dreams Left Unopened' is a crossover fic, including that great work of western comics: The Sandman, along with Ranma 1/2, and Sailor moon.  The tone is probably closer to echoing that of The Sandman than either of the manga.  In any case I feel that it is a fairly good piece of fiction, albeit one which steals liberally from other's works.  Enjoy the parts here:  Part One :: Part Two

I will be working on a script to some short animations that are part of an unrelated project for the next few days, but after that hopefully I'll begin fleshing out part three of that work.  'Honour Thy Father' chapter 2 also is begging to be written, and one day I'll  move my ass and get it done.  Other fics are still theoretically being worked on, but have much lower priorities.

-         new piece of fanfiction here.

I'm tired.  Its 7.00am now.  I need sleep, so I'm not even going to update the fanfiction or updates pages.  I'll deal with it later.

The NGE/Ranma fic is over 10,00 words now.  I'm happy, its finished, I'm going.  Bye.

-         Work Continues on the new piece of fanfiction.

Well, it's not ready, like I was hoping it would be, but that said, although I'm finding it harder to carry on writing, I haven't stopped.  As of tonight I'm up to 6,800 words.  I'm halfway through what I believe will be the second last scene, so I figure I have about another 1,500 – 2,500 words to get onto paper, or at least onto my hard-drive.  Tomorrow will be devoted to resume writing, so I doubt I'll get any more done till Friday, or maybe late, late Saturday, Australia time.

So, yeah...  I'll be very cranky if it isn't done in a week at the latest, so check back in a few days, or some shit.  I am, quite pleased with a lot of what I have down so far, and I'm actually getting some help with the proofing for once, so hopefully there won't be too many stupid mistakes this time...  That reminds me...  I need to fix up some issues with my last chapter of that AMGxover...  and maybe rewrite the entire Kasumi section too, only that seems so daunting that I'm still putting it off.

My thanks goes to Sherman Chan for helping me out with the question I had in my last news post.  Thanks mate.

Finally, and because I'm tired, a big fuck you to anyone who's being particularly offensive right now.

 Happy hunting all,

 - New piece of fiction at least 33% done, and only in a week! Huzzah

Anyway, I said earlier to various people that I was working on my AMGxover.  I am.  Unfortunately, as so often happens, I do not have the inspiration right now, and I have been distracted.  I don't feel depressed, or particularly romantic at the moment.  Oh...  I'm also not pining for some indescribable absence in my life or something...  Actually, I'm not sure I was any of those this when i was writing earlier parts, but i did have them on my mind.  I am feeling sickeningly well adjusted at the moment, bothered only by the insidious tendrils of my family, and poor finances.

I'll definitely be coming back to it...  Promise.  There will be either one or two more chapters, probably then followed by, like eight small epilogues.  The end of the story has been plotted out since day 3 (hush you) and I'm definitely interested in finishing it.  Though perhaps not as interested as I am in....

...Cyberpunk.  I'm working on some original fiction too.  And Cyberpunk is the name of the day.  So is Wednesday.  Actually I have been distracted from my cyberpunk too, back to the fanfiction:

Very recently, like last Wednesday in fact, I was inspired by an absolutely horrible piece of Ranma/NGE fanfiction, and possibly also by the unexpected appearance of Evangellion DVDs in my possession.  So, I've started work on a Ranma/NGE fic.  IT goes well.  In just under a week I have written three and a half thousand words, or a bit over 20k of plaintext, if you prefer.  That's remarkable progress for me.  I would like to think it signals that I am getting back into my groove.  I would like to think the first chapter will be finished within two weeks, fingers crossed.

There is one minor issue:  I need to know the name of one of the vehicles in evangellion.  If there any Evangellion gurus out there who know everything there is to know about the mundane flying vehicles in the NGE world, could they drop me a line at yasuhei@hotmail.com

This rambling update was brought to you on wings of caffeine and sleep deprivation.  How could i possibly function without those two cornerstones of my life?

Well nevermind.  I doubt anyone will actually read this before I get around to posting something, but oh well.  I'll feel happy at least...

Until next time,

--yasuhei.

______________________________________________________
I started writing Fanfiction sometime early in 2000, but until now I haven't gone to much effort to find anywhere to put it . This is hopefully an improvement over the hideous site I started running almost 2 years ago, but I have no illusions on my HTML editing abilities. I hope that this doesn't swnd too many of you running away appaled by my lack of web designing talent. If you stick around long enough to be scared off by my writing ability instead, well then, it's done its job.

The majority of the fiction here will be Ranma1/2 crossovers, although I am also working on a Sailor Moon peice and several original fics, none of which I have yet posted. Give me time and they'll spring up.

I must confess, however, that I am a sporadic writer at the best of times, and I spend more time working on new ideas than on finishing up old ones. Give me time and I'll get around to doing more on the fiction I've stuck up here, I'm still working on it all. I just work rather slowly.

Anyhow, please do read my humble stories, and I'd absolutely love to hear what you think of them.
