If you could get a new body of an anime/manga/vid-game character, but, you had to kill the character's personality/awareness/soul to do it... would you do it then?

Like for example.

If you wanted Usagi Tsukino's body, you would have to kill Usagi Tsukino's personality/awareness/soul to take the body for yourself too.

But in the case of Usagi, even if killing her was not the issue, you would then have to deal with her body.  Though I wonder if the Sailor Moon powers are soul or body based.

Well that pretty much depends on whether the body of the person you're going to inhabit is 'evil' or he/she wants to die.

I'd have no problem taking over Madara Uchiha. I'd become immortal, get funky eyes and rid the Elemental nations of its greatest enemy.

How do you kill a soul? The soul is pretty much the thing that remains after you die. Would you have to destroy a soul or only kick it out of the body.

I named myself Frost before the forum became Icy, so it's not like I'm unimaginative. :p

There are a few unanswered questions; like do you get their skills, abilities, memories, talents, desires, weaknesses, pathological problems, etc?  For the most part, I agree with the above in that I'd only do it to get rid of someone evil.  In general, though, I'd say no, which I did on the vote.

Picture this now.

Example is Usagi Tsukino again.

You would fight her in her mindscape.

There she would be, just like she really is.

There you would be, just like you really are.

The two of you would fight, one would kill the other, and that one would wake up in the body as their own.

If you won by killing Usagi, her body in the mindscape would die and then fade away, and you would wake up in Usagi's body, which is now yours as well.

Usagi's memories could be scanned by you. Her skills, whatever they are, would be yours too. You would know all that she knows.

Usagi's personality would be dead, cast out. Either to limbo, heaven, hell, ghosthood, or oblivion then. You would get to decide which to send her to when you kill her off.
